Club Honors Champions of Youth
At the fourth annual Festival of Trees, the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line gave two awards to supporters who went above and beyond in their giving in 2011.
The first recipient was David Leeds of New Media Broadcasters. David developed the "Be Connected” radio campaign to provide the community with a better understanding of the Club’s programs and impact. He then donated all of the air time to run the ads, as many as eight per day. As of December 1st, that contribution has been worth over $45,000 to the Boys & Girls Club.
The second Champion of Youth award went to Stu and Carol McIntosh, for their generous contribution of $200,000 to the Boys & Girls Club’s endowment fund. The McIntoshes see the value of having a Boys & Girls Club in Havre, not just today but for generations to come. Having a safe place to be helps to, as Stu said, "keep the kids off dope and off the streets.” Stu hoped his gift would " get the ball rolling” and inspire other members of the community give generously and secure the future of the Club.
