The Boys & Girls Club serves free after school snacks to 200 children each day, and provides a free summer lunch—without an oven or a dishwasher.
At the Festival of Trees, a special auction was held to raise $1800 to purchase a convection oven for the Club. Attendees were asked to make a donation of $25 or more. Those who donated received an ornament
decorated by a Club member, and were entered into a drawing for Grateful Bread gift certificates (won by Ronni Nault).
The response was overwhelming.  Festival attendees donated over $2200 towards the project, and several businesses and individuals volunteered their labor for the electrical, plumbing, and counter installation. Construction is tentatively set to begin this summer.
